Grab your costumes to trick-or-treat through Grande Prairie’s City Centre on Saturday, October 26 as part of the Halloween Spooktacular event, presented in partnership between the City and the Downtown Association. 

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for activities in The Bowes in Bonnetts Energy Centre taking place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to round out the day with fun, family-friendly activities including:

  • Costume contest for children ages zero to 12 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Haunted house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Live roaming children’s entertainment from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Free hot dogs, cookies and refreshments from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Trick-or-treating occurs at local businesses down 100 Avenue (between 99 Street and 101 Street) from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

“We’re excited to welcome families back to our City Centre for a fun day of Halloween festivities alongside the DownTown Association and local businesses,” said Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “The Halloween Spooktacular is a great opportunity for us to come together and enjoy Halloween while experiencing everything our vibrant downtown offers.”
