The City of Grande Prairie continues to progress on its stormwater infrastructure upgrades in several neighbourhoods.

Starting Friday, September 27, 102 Street between 120 Avenue and 121 Avenue is fully closing to expedite underground work. The closure is expected to last two to three days, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances. Detours will be in place to direct traffic, and pedestrians should follow the marked routes.

Detour:

  • Southbound traffic will be redirected at 121 Avenue to bypass the work zone.
  • Northbound traffic will detour via 117 or 116 Avenues.
  • Local traffic will be maintained heading north on 102 Street between 117 Avenue and 120 Avenue.

“We appreciate the community’s patience as we carry out these essential repairs,” says Development Engineering and Storm Drainage Manager, Richard Sali. “Our team is working efficiently to complete the work and we’ll continue to keep residents updated as the project moves forward.”
