The City of Grande Prairie is excited to announce the Derina Harvey Band as the headline performance of this year’s Canada Day event at Muskoseepi Park on July 1. 

The Derina Harvey Band is an award-winning Celtic rock group and the recipient of a 2024 East Coast Music Award in the Fan’s Choice Entertainer of the Year category.

“We’re excited to feature some awesome talent for this year’s live entertainment, joining us from both across the country and the region to celebrate Canada Day,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to come down and enjoy the free festivities taking place in the core of our city."

Live music kicks off at the amphitheatre beginning at 3:30 p.m. with the following artists performing throughout the evening:

  • Derina Harvey Band.
  • The Northbloods.
  • Mandee Rae.

The event also has beer gardens in the green space surrounding the amphitheatre from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for people to enjoy while listening to the live music.

Live performances wrap up with fire dancers at the amphitheatre from 11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. right before the fireworks, presented by Pomeroy Lodging, set off over Muskoseepi Park reservoir.

The City looks forward to hosting another year of grander celebrations at the free Canada Day festivities. Residents are invited to come out and enjoy the celebrations which include a parade, free swimming at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool, carnival rides and games, sponsored by Paramount Resources Ltd, and free transit.
