(Grande Prairie, Alta. – October 31, 2023) – The City of Grande Prairie invites residents to provide their valuable input on the draft amendments to the Municipal Development Plan (MDP). This engagement initiative aims to ensure that the MDP reflects the needs of our growing community.
"We highly value the input of our residents in shaping the future of Grande Prairie. Your perspectives are invaluable in ensuring that our Municipal Development Plan aligns with the vision we collectively share for our community," said Mayor Jackie Clayton
The draft MDP amendments have been written to incorporate insights gathered from extensive consultations with stakeholders and residents earlier this year. It represents a collective vision that aligns with Grande Prairie's long-term development goals, focusing on areas such as land use, transportation and community well-being.
The City encourages residents to actively participate in the shaping of our city's future by sharing their thoughts and feedback on the draft amendments. Please submit comments, questions, or suggestions through the Forum tool at engage.cityofgp.com/mdp. This online platform is open for feedback until November 12, 2023.
In the City’s commitment to transparency and accessibility, the MDP What We Heard Report is readily available for residents to view. This report includes the results of engagement activities, including Public Information Sessions, stakeholder meetings and the online survey. It is available for viewing at engage.cityofgp.com/mdp.
