The City of Grande Prairie is celebrating the 2025 Grande Prairie Stompede with a new, free pancake breakfast for the whole community.

Hosted by the City, the breakfast welcomes residents and visitors to enjoy a fun-filled morning of food, friendly faces and western cheer. Mayor Jackie Clayton and members of City Council will be on site to greet guests and join in the celebration. Western wear is encouraged to help set the tone for the festivities.

The event takes place Wednesday, May 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the H.A. Rice Plaza at Bonnetts Energy Centre. Parking is available in the east, west and south lots.

“The Stompede is a long-standing tradition in our community and this breakfast is a great way to show our pride and hospitality,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “Council is looking forward to connecting with residents and welcoming everyone to this year’s festivities.”

The breakfast supports Council’s strategic priority of building engaging relationships by celebrating the cultural vibrancy and western roots of the region.
