Motorists are advised of two separate incidents currently being addressed by Aquatera, which are expected to impact this afternoon’s commute:

  1. Plugged Sanitary Line on 101 Avenue west of 116 Street:
A section of 101 Avenue west of 116 Street is closed while crews flush a sanitary main to address a blockage. The road is expected to reopen by 5:30 p.m. today, weather permitting. Drivers are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays in the area.
  2. Water Leak on 100 Street and 96 Avenue:
The southbound right lane on 100 Street is closed from approximately 97 Avenue to 95 Avenue as Aquatera investigates a water leak at the southwest corner of 100 Street and 96 Avenue. At this time, there is no estimated timeline for completion. If the work area expands or the situation changes, the City will provide updates as information becomes available.

The City of Grande Prairie appreciates residents' patience as Aquatera works to resolve these issues.
