​AUMA Resolution

City Council approved a Request for Decision to be presented at the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, Spring Municipal Leaders Caucus. The Request For Decision supports City Council's stance that local election time should be reserved for local election matters.

Eastlink Centre Combined Heat & Power

City Council amended the 2020/2021 Capital Plan to include the installation of a Combined Heat & Power unit at the Eastlink Centre, to a maximum of $1,865,000. The funding approved at City Council supplements grant funding received to see the project through. The new heat & power system will allow the facility to reduce emissions.

Amendment to the Outdoor Event Permit Bylaw

Amendments to the Outdoor Event Permit bylaw were approved by Council. The amendments are largely housekeeping and reduce the fine for the first offence and clarify the language within the bylaw.

Aquatera Dividend Declarations - 2019

City Council directed the Mayor to sign the Unanimous Consent Resolution with Aquatera on behalf of the City.

Repeal of Outdated Bylaws and Policies

City Council repealed bylaws C-886 and C-968, as well as policies 6020, 6115, and 6215. The repeal of these old and outdated bylaws and policies is routine and there is no impact to services.
