The City has launched an educational campaign to inform residents of the importance of the stormwater system, how it protects properties by directing water away from buildings, and the impacts it has on our waterways and environment.
The campaign covers:
- The parts of the stormwater system
- How the City manages stormwater
- Why the system is important to resident’s day-to-day lives
As part of the campaign, residents may participate in a 2-to-5-minute survey titled “Did You Know?! All about the Stormwater System” to share their thoughts and provide feedback on their experience with stormwater. The engagement webpage also has a Q+A section, a quick poll, and information about the system.
About the Stormwater System
The stormwater system protects residences and businesses by directing rain, snowmelt, and other precipitation towards natural water bodies such as the Bear Creek through an aboveground and underground system made up of catch basins, manholes, roadways, swales, and underground pipes.
