Residents are invited to take part in City Scrub from April 2-30 by spending 20 minutes picking up litter in parks, neighbourhoods and public spaces.

Spring is here, offering a great opportunity to come together and show community pride. Collected litter can be placed in household garbage carts alongside regular waste, helping keep the city clean and welcoming.

Free clean-up supplies, including garbage bags and gloves, are available April 2-30 at several City facilities:

  • City Hall
  • Muskoseepi Park
  • Eastlink Centre
  • Grande Prairie Museum
  • City Service Centre
  • Grande Prairie Activity & Reception Centre

“City Scrub is more than just litter cleanup—it’s a way to show pride in our city and make a difference together,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “It’s a simple but meaningful way to welcome spring and contribute to a cleaner, more inviting community.”

Supplies for large groups, schools and teams can be arranged by emailing cityscrub@cityofgp.com, making it a great opportunity for team building and community engagement.
