The City of Grande Prairie, alongside the Communities Building Youth Futures (CBYF) initiative, invites youth in Grande Prairie to participate in the Youth Career Discovery Expo 2024. This event, happening on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Bonnetts Energy Centre, aims to support youth on their journeys toward career and educational success.

The Expo offers an immersive experience for ages 14 to 30 into the realm of career possibilities and educational pathways. The Bonnetts Energy Centre will be transformed into a dynamic space for exploration, discovery, and inspiration.

Expo Highlights:

• Over 100 Exhibitors: An impressive lineup of more than 100 exhibitors will be in attendance, showcasing an array of in-demand careers and educational opportunities with tangible relevance to today’s job market.
• Significant Attendance: With over 2,000 students already registered, the event promises meaningful interactions and networking opportunities.
• Interactive Experiences: The Expo features engaging exhibits, including virtual job simulations and hands-on activities, providing a practical glimpse into various professions.
• Connections with Future Employers: An opportunity for attendees to meet with employers eager to fill youth positions, including summer jobs, offering a valuable gateway into the workforce.
• Prizes up for grabs: Engage and win! Youth can complete the event survey and enter a draw for a chance to win tech prizes, including a MacBook Air, iPads with Apple pencils, and more.
• FREE Admission: The event is open to all free of charge ensuring accessible opportunities for every interested teen and young adult.
