On July 3 the City of Grande Prairie is launching Active Play, a new summer initiative encouraging creative and active play through weekly themed activities.
Active Play is a free, drop-in, recreational activity. It will be at a number of City Parks throughout the summer to encourage children to play and make new friends.
The Active Play leaders visit a different playground each morning and each afternoon Tuesday through Thursday from July 3- August 30.
The program is geared towards children ages 6-12 years old and is free for all to attend.
Each session is weather dependant and subject to change.
Visit cityofgp.com/activeplay for more information, a list of weekly locations and themes and for notification of any cancellations.
