The City of Grande Prairie is introducing a new event called “Engage Grande Prairie” which highlights a variety of interesting topics for residents to learn more about and share their input on.

Residents can join members of Council and City Administration from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Eastlink Centre on October 4 to engage on topics including:

  • 2024 Budget
  • Grande Prairie Police Service
  • Urban Forest Strategy
  • Coordinated Care Campus
  • Eastlink Centre Programs and Services
  • Storm Drainage Master Plan

“Engage Grande Prairie is a unique opportunity for residents to share their insights and perspectives on matters that shape our community,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Hosting this event is key for building meaningful connections and fostering engaging relationships. We are excited to engage with residents on topics such as the 2024 budget, so that Council can better understand the priorities of our community.”

2024 Budget Engagement

Opportunities to share feedback online for the 2024 budget are available at engage.cityofgp.com/budget2024 until October 6 and include:

  • A survey that takes approximately 10 minutes to complete
  • A Prioritize Tool to rank your preferences on budgeted projects
  • An idea space to share your answers to brainstorming questions
  • A Q&A space to ask Administration questions about the budget and get live responses
