The City of Grande Prairie invites members of the community to join in on the free New Horizon Co-op Family Day event at the Eastlink Centre and Coca-Cola Centre on Sunday, February 16.

The Eastlink Centre will have free admission from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., including classes and two-hour swim blocks in the pool. The New Horizon Co-op Kids Zone is located in the fieldhouse where guests can enjoy games and activities, a souvenir photobooth, face painting, crafts and more to keep the family entertained. Refreshments and snacks are provided from New Horizon Co-Op.

The Coca-Cola Centre will host a free public skate from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with skate rentals available while supplies last. Helmets are required for all skaters under 16 years of age and encouraged for everyone. 

“New Horizon Co-op has been serving the Peace Region for 83 years. We are committed to having a positive impact within the communities we serve. Family Day is one of many community events we are proud to sponsor and support,” says Laurie Gronhovd, General Manager of New Horizon Co-op.
