The City of Grande Prairie is offering a temporary transit stop during the Vampire Circus event on October 17 at the Bonnetts Energy Centre.

The temporary stop will be located just outside the facility on 99 Avenue.

To get to the event, riders can reach the stop via routes 1, 3 and 8 on the regular schedule.

After the event, on-demand buses will be available from the bus stop from 9 – 11 p.m. to take people to their pre-booked destinations. These rides must be booked in advance using the on-demand booking system available via the GP My Ride app, online at gpmyride.app.ridewithvia.com, or by calling 780-830-RIDE (7422). All bookings must be made a minimum of 30 minutes in advance.

Full routes, schedules, and on-demand details are available at cityofgp.com/transit. Regular transit fares apply.

This extended transit service aims to reduce congestion, make transportation more convenient, and offer a safe way home for those attending. It is part of the City’s continuous improvement efforts for transit to better connect Grande Prairie's residents around the community for work and play.

"We strive to give everyone an outstanding experience at Grande Prairie events,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “With City Transit, residents can benefit from hassle-free travel and reliable transportation, ensuring a safe return home after enjoying the event."
