Texting Service Notifications

There are two ways to sign up for text notifications whether you currently have an account with AccessGP or not.

These are the steps if you are not currently an AccessGP account holder:

• Step one: Create your account.
  
  • Visit access.cityofgp.com.
  • Click the button ‘Opt-in for SMS Text Service Updates’.
  • If you don't already have an account, fill in the required information to create your account, including your name, email address and a secure password.
• Step two: Opt-in for text alerts.
  
  • Once your account is created, you will be able to provide your mobile phone number and opt-in to receive text alerts. Standard message and data rates may apply.
• Step three: Choose your announcement preferences.
  
  • Select the specific types of announcements you wish to receive, such as service updates, construction notices, news releases and more.
• Step four: Select your preferred neighbourhood categories.
  
  • Explore various neighbourhood categories that align with your interests. Note, neighbourhoods will only show as an option if certain categories are selected (ie. snow & construction).
  • Check the corresponding boxes to choose the areas for which you want to receive text message updates.
• Step five: Save your preferences.
  
  • After selecting your preferred update categories, save your selections by clicking "finish."
• Step six: Manage your subscriptions.

If you are an existing AccessGP account holder looking to enable text alerts or adjust preferences, log in to your account or text ‘MANAGE’ to 311000. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Once logged in, click the "Manage my SMS Subscriptions" button to manage your selections.

Edit Subscriptions Anytime

You can revisit your subscription preferences at any time by clicking on your name or profile icon and choosing "My Subscriptions." Adjust your choices as needed and remember to save your changes after editing.

With these steps, residents can seamlessly customize their notifications and stay informed about community events, announcements and important updates tailored to their interests. All messages will be sent from 311000.

Email Notifications

1. Enter your email address, first name and last name.
2. Select the content you would like to receive notifications about.
3. Check your email and click the link in the confirmation message to activate your subscription.
