UPDATED: Eastlink Centre aquatics closed until further notice due to air quality

Eastlink Centre aquatics has re-opened and will resume as scheduled with public swim happening today until 9 p.m.

PlayCare will open tomorrow morning, Monday, May 13 beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The City thanks visitors for their understanding and patience during the closure.

PlayCare services at the Eastlink Centre will also close beginning Sunday, May 12 until further notice.

The closure of Eastlink Centre aquatics continues into Sunday, May 12. The City will provide an update once these amenities have re-opened for public use. 

Those signed up for affected swimming lessons can expect to be contacted directly by Eastlink Centre staff via phone to discuss re-scheduling for Sunday, June 9.

Visitors are thanked for their understanding while the City prioritizes the health and safety of guests and staff. 


Due to current elevated air quality outside of safe conditions, the Eastlink Centre aquatics area is closed until further notice.
The closure is in effect for the health and safety of patrons and staff. All bookings and drop-in use are cancelled with this closure.
Staff will continue daily monitoring of air quality and will provide an update when the aquatics area re-opens.
