The Positive Ticket Program is a summer program that encourages children and youth within the community to build attributes of good citizenship by rewarding their positive acts. Enforcement Services has launched the program for summer 2022 which will conclude at the end of August.
Peace officers patrolling the community issue a positive ticket to children and youth partaking in summer activities and demonstrating safety and good citizenship such as wearing helmets when bike riding, helping others or safely using crosswalks.
The positive tickets are redeemable at City on 99 for a small prize bag with fun summer items. Additionally, each positive ticket received is an entry into the draw for the grand prize at the end of the summer.
City on 99 is open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed for lunch 12:00 - 1:00 and on statutory holidays. City on 99 is located at 9910 99 Avenue Grande Prairie, AB T8V 0R5.
This program is one of the opportunities Enforcement Services uses to engage with the residents positively and demonstrate their commitment to our community's health, safety, and wellness.
