Viewing Swans

Trumpeters like privacy and often hide in shoreline reeds, sedges and cattails. If you are lucky enough to see swans, you should watch them only with binoculars or spotting scopes.

DO NOT APPROACH THEM WITH BOATS!

The occasional one may  be  wearing a green or red neck collar with white letters and numbers or yellow collars with black letters or numbers. Please report any sightings of collared swans to the nearest Wildlife office, giving collar colour, and letters and numbers if possible.
