The Dave Barr Community Centre consists of an arena facility and two large classrooms for our busy playschool programs. We are committed to the excellence in service that compliments our desire for a high level of customer satisfaction.
We are seeking a candidate for the position of Arena Attendant, who shares our passion to exceed our customer's needs, who possesses a strong work ethic and initiative toward continuous improvement. Arena Attendants are responsible for maintaining the clean and safe environment in our bright and busy family oriented facility.

What you will do
- Be part of an energetic team involved in creating and maintaining a fun, safe place for patrons and staff
- Supervise the facility, and act in safety and security roles as needed.
- Make operational and customer service decisions on your own.
- Prioritize your work to handle multiple priorities.
- Complete tasks and janitorial duties to maintain or exceed the high facility standards.
- Install and maintain ice surface to a high standard.
- Monitor and trouble shoot mechanical systems.
- Perform basic building maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting and general repairs.
What you need
- Class 5 drivers license.
- Level 1 Arena Operator Certification (recommended).
- An energetic “can do” attitude.
- A positive professional manner with excellent customer service skills.
- Tactful clear verbal and written communication.
- To be self motivated and take initiative.
- An attention to detail when undertaking tasks.
- A sense of humour and ability to have fun.
- Previous experience operating equipment is an asset.
- To be willing to learn and train on the job.
- Skills in basic carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
- A commitment to high standards for janitorial work.
