Sealed Tenders addressed to the City of Grande Prairie Purchasing Department and clearly marked 2008 Road Rehabilitation Program and Tender T-08-552-08 will be received at the office of the Purchasing Administrator, up to 2:00 p.m. local time, April 25, 2008.
Major work items consist of the following approximate quantities:
1. Cold Milling Existing Roadways – 10,460 m2
2. Catchbasin & Manhole repairs – Structure Replacement
3. Overlay Paving – 3,930 tonnes
4. Concrete – Para-ramp Removals and Reconstruction – 17 units.
5. Concrete – Curb and Gutter Removals and Reconstruction – 2,250 L.M.
Contract documents can be obtained from the City of Grande Prairie Purchasing Department (10205-98th Street, Grande Prairie), upon payment of $100.00 deposit (refundable), in cash or certified cheque made payable to the City of Grande Prairie, and are available on April 7, 2008 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Deposit will be refunded upon return of documents unmarked and in good condition, within 14 days of tender closing.
Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque payable to the City of Grande Prairie for ten per cent (10%) of the tender price, or Bid Bond in the same amount. Also, to ensure consideration of the tender, each tender must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety as required by the Contract Documents.
The Consent of Surety must be issued by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the Province of Alberta and must have its respective address, or that of representative agent in this Province, included on that particular document.
Each tender package is accompanied by a set of 11”x17” tender drawings. Full size plans and drawings for this Tender are available for viewing at the City of Grande Prairie Engineering Services Department.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
