Sealed Tenders addressed to the City of Grande Prairie Purchasing Department and clearly marked Bear River Spillway – Radial Gate Replacement, and Tender # T-27-552-08 will be received at the office of the Purchasing Administrator, up to 2:00 p.m. local time, Friday, July 25, 2008.
Major work, including tentative items consists of the following approximate quantities:
1. Mobilization and Demobilization.
2. Care of Water.
3. Removal and Disposal of Existing Gates.
4. Supply and Install Radial Gates.
5. Supply and Install Gate Operators.
6. Supply and Installation of Staff Gauge
Contract documents can be obtained from the City of Grande Prairie Purchasing Department (10205 - 98th Street, Grande Prairie), upon payment of $100.00 deposit (refundable), in cash or certified cheque made payable to the City of Grande Prairie, and are available on Monday, July 7, 2008, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Deposit will be refunded upon return of documents unmarked and in good condition, within 14 days of tender closing.
Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque payable to the City of Grande Prairie for ten per cent (10%) of the tender price, or Bid Bond in the same amount. Also, to ensure consideration of the tender, each tender must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety as required by the Contract Documents.
The Consent of Surety must be issued by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the Province of Alberta and must have its respective address, or that of representative agent in this Province, included on that particular document.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
